Upper Arm Lift

Upper Arm Lift (Brachioplasty)

The aging process in the upper arm may result in sagging tissue which is especially apparent when the arms are partially raised above the head.  This appearance is due to excessive and loose skin, excessive fatty tissue under the skin, or a combination of the two.  Brachioplasty, or upper arm lift, involves surgical removal of this excess tissue, sometimes with simultaneous liposuction.

As with other areas of plastic surgery, when you undergo an upper arm lift, you must be willing to accept improvement in contour, or shape, at the expense of scars, which in this case are usually located either hidden in the armpit or along the inside of the upper arm.  This procedure is done on an outpatient basis at our location in beautiful Bucks County, Pennsylvania.  Post-operatively you wear a specially-fitted garment on the upper arms, and you must refrain from vigorous activity during the healing phase.
